Mufti Muhammad Zubair Usmani completed his Doctorate in Islamic Finance form Karachi University. He is also finish a specialization course in Islamic Jurisprudence ( Takhassus in Fiqh and Fatawa). His knowledge and skills found application in Islamic research and teaching.

Besides being the Shariah Advisor for Muslim Commercial Bank; he is also a member of several committees like the Transformation Commission Sub-committee of the State Bank of Pakistan, the Islamization of Economic Committee of the Chamber of Commerce in Karachi, Implementation of Supreme Court Judgment on Riba Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan and the governing body of Al-Markaz-ul-Islami in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mufti Zubair has done extensive writing for different journals and magazines on various topics.
