Rohail Ali Khan
CEO
Rohail Alikhan has over 15 years of senior management experience in diverse service
industries with special focus on Islamic Finance. A graduate of University of Toronto,
Canada, Rohail has done International Post Graduate Diplomas in Islamic Banking
and Finance, and Islamic Insurance (Takaful), with an in-depth knowledge of Shariah
and other Islamic disciplines.
Before joining PQGTL, he has served few leading Insurance and Takaful companies,
including Adamjee Insurance, Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Ltd & Takaful Pakistan
Ltd. He has also worked for various other local and international companies.
NAJMULLAH KHAN
COO
Mr. Najmullah Khan, B.Sc., is the Chief Operating Officer.
He has attended many diploma and certificate courses during his service span of
more than 26 years. He has served as Member and Vice Chairman of the Fire Committee
of Insurance Association of Pakistan for three years. He has worked in senior positions
in Atlas Insurance, International General Insurance Company of Pakistan and Habib
Insurance Company Limited.
M. KAMRAN SALEEM
Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary
Graduate in Law and Post-Graduate in Commerce, Mr. M. Kamran Saleem, is
an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP)
and Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP); while a fellow member
of both, Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and Pakistan
Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). His educational achievements include
three gold-medals in final stages of ICAP. Currently, he is serving as Chief Financial
Officer and Company Secretary of Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited and Pak-Qatar
General Takaful Limited. He holds rich experience of more than 11 years in accountancy,
tax, and corporate/compliance matters. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Kamran
has served Dewan Mushtaq Group as Deputy General Manager, in the Corporate &
Finance Department for 2 years. Earlier, he was Manager Accounts of Mohammad Farooq
Textile Mills Limited and worked there for 2.5 years.
MUHAMMAD IRFAN ALI
Vice
President - Information Technology
Mr. Muhammad Irfan Ali is the Vice President
of Information Technology. His extensive knowledge which includes degrees in MS
(Computer Science), B.Sc., PMP (Project Management
Professional), MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer), IBM Certified
Specialist, ITIL Certified - ITSM Foundation, DIPLOMA (Computer Maintenance) makes
him stand out from amongst the usual crowd. He is the first Pakistani who has passed CSOEP
(Certified Service Oriented Enterprise Professional). He is one of the very few certified
IT Service Management professionals. He has a diversified 15 years experience of
system operations and support and in the information technology field in general.
Before joining us he was the Head of System Operations at Gul Ahmed Textile Mills
Limited. He also worked in the EDP department of Commercial Union Assurance Co.
plc. as well as in the System and Network division of Fascom Network System Limited.
Zia Mehdi
Vice President – Operations / Head of Marine
Zia Mehdi has done Masters in Commerce with Major in Insurance from University of
Karachi. He has over 10 years of experience in the Insurance Industry.
He started his professional career in 1999 as an internee in M/s. Guardian Royal
Exchange Assurance plc, U.K. based insurance company. After the completion of his
Masters degree in 2000, he joined New Jubilee Insurance, a leading insurance company,
as Deputy Manager of their Marine Department, handling their country-wide Marine
Cargo operations.
In 2004 he switched over to PICIC Insurance and was actively involved in handling
the operations of their Claims’ Department.
Thereafter, in 2006 he joined Takaful Pakistan Limited as Head of Marine Underwriting
& Claims. He was a member of the core management team and was actively involved
in all areas that including coordination with the I.T. department for the development
of In-house I.T. system, conducting market analysis & other sensitive areas
of the company’s country-wide operations.
Zia joined Pak Qatar General Takaful Limited in 2010 as Vice President (Operations)
and Head of Marine Department. Being a part of the core management team, he is involved
in the operational areas of the company.
MOHAMMAD SALEEM
Assistant Vice President (Finance)
His 24 years experience, mainly
in the accounting and financial field and especially in re-insurance accounting,
makes him an invaluable asset for our company. Throughout his career he has been
responsible for handling corporate customers as well as development officers for
Commercial Union and NJI. He had enriched his experience with necessary knowledge
to create the right blend that is important for excellent performance. He has attended
various training courses and workshops on management skills and credit control.
He also attended the insurance proficiency course from the Pakistan Insurance Institute.
His professional background hails from NJI, Commercial Union and Central Insurance.
Muhammad Farid Habib
Joint Senior Vice President – Head of Non-Marine Underwriting
Farid, an M. Com. in Insurance, started his professional career in 1999 from in
M/s. Royal Exchange Assurance Company. After the completion of his Masters degree,
he joined M/s Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company in Claims department. Thereafter,
he was offered to join New Jubilee Insurance, a leading local insurance company,
as Manager Underwriting. There, he was also designated as the I.T. Coordinator for
the development and implementation of the Company’s new Integrated Software. In
September 2004, he joined “Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company" (formerly First Takaful Insurance
Company) as Head, Accident Underwriting & Claims. He was actively involved in
all areas related to the formation of the Company including the developing of Operational
Policies & Procedures, preparation and analysis of Risk Profiles and Reinsurance
Treaty arrangements as well as correspondence with Re-insurers in this respect,
drafting Takaful Policy documents in consultation with the Shariah Advisor, coordination
with I.T. consultant for the development of I.T. system, conducting market analysis,
formulating Business Plans and Marketing Strategies.
In June 2006, Farid joined “Takaful Pakistan Limited” and as a member of its core
management team, has been involved in devising the Company’s business strategies
and ensuring its operational readiness in all business functions, including but
not limited to, Underwriting Guidelines and SOPs, Policies and Procedures, Risk
Profiles, Retakaful arrangements and the development of the Company’s in-house I.T.system.
In January 2010, Farid has accepted an offer to join Pak-Qatar General Takaful as
Joint Senior Vice President – Head of Non-Marine Underwriting.
Muhammad Raza
Joint Senior Vice President (Risk Management & Re-takaful)
He is working with Pak-Qatar General Takaful as a Vice President (Claims / Re-Takful).
Mr. Raza has got 12 years of working experience in State Life Insurance and Habib
Insurance. He is equipped with industry recognized certifications like Associate
of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Certified Takaful Professional (CTF) and
Certificate of Information Technology for Insurance Professionals (CITIP). As an
important member of Pak Qatar General Takaful’s main management team, He has been
involved in looking after the post sales services, Re-Takaful arrangements and ensuring
the timely settlement of claims.
