Said Gul - Managing Director & CEO
Chairman Management Committee
Said Gul is the Managing Director of Pak-Qatar Family Takaful and CEO & MD of Pak-Qatar General Takaful (the most successful Takaful group in Pakistan today and sponsored by some of the strongest financial institutions from the state of Qatar). Mr. Gul is a prominent Pakistani businessman in the State of Qatar. Presently, he is working as Executive Director of Eurotec Projects Development for Oil & Gas (a Trading and Consultancy Enterprise). Earlier, he had been associated with Qatar Petrochemical Company as Head of General Services for a period of 17 years. Thereafter, he was Director Operations at Al-Muftah Projects & Industrial Services for 14 years.
Mr. Said Gul is a very simple and straight-forward person despite his accomplishments including leading the group in achieving break-even in just a short span of time of one year.
He believes in hardwork, honest deliverance of responsibilities and ultimate faith in Allah for success.He has amply put into practice the belief that a true leader is honest, fair and accessible to the benefit of his group, colleagues as well as the society in general.
His professional approach can be summed up in his view that with power comes responsibility and that is the first professional quality he looks for in people exhibiting leadership qualities.
He has successfully exhibited a merger of Islamic and professional excellence during his illustrious career. He has encouraged deep research into what Islam determines to be ideal rather than simply permissible and has kept an eye on the latest technological advances.
In addition to his contribution to the economies of both Qatar and Pakistan, he has also played a pioneering role in promoting friendship between the two countries and their business communities. Mr. Said Gul is in the board of Executive Members of the Pak-Qatar Business Forum and among founding leaders of the Pakistan Welfare Forum in Doha.
He has also contributed to spreading awareness about Takaful through articles in leading international professional publications. Mr. Gul has represented Pak-Qatar Group at various prestigious international forums.
During his tenure, Pak-Qatar Takaful Group has taken gigantic strides and emerged as the market leader of Pakistan’s industry. He has completed a number of mega projects in Qatar.Under his leadership, the company has made tremendous progress not only in operations and business but also gained recognition as a leading corporate identity. He has the distinction of successfully promoting Takaful in Pakistan, expanding the network of Pak-Qatar Group across the country and introducing innovative new products.
Mr. Syed Hassan Nadeem - Senior Executive Vice President - Country Head Sales & Development

Mr. Hasan Nadeem is Senior Executive Vice President & Country Head Sales & Development for Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited and is based in Islamabad. He has 17+ years of quality experience in the field of General Insurance. He previously was working for Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited as Senior Vice President and Branch Head for North region. Before joining Jubilee General Insurance, he was associated with Askari General Insurance for 14 years in different capacities.
Mr. Hasan’s analytical skills cover all aspects of General Insurance particularly the health insurance division. He has been a leading producer with Askari and Jubilee and has won numerous awards. He is also the only recipient of a gold medal at Askari General Insurance. His branch was also named the best branch at Askari for 5 years straight.
Mr. Hasan has an MBA in Marketing from Preston University. He is also certified in Takaful Insurance and Principle of Insurance.
Mr. M. Kamran Saleem – CFO, Company Secretary, Head of HR

Mr. Kamran Saleem is a Fellow Member the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP); Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP); Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP); and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). His educational achievements include three gold-medals in ICAP; Certificate of Merit in ICMAP and Second position in PGD.
Serving as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, Mr. Kamran Saleem has been instrumental in aligning Company policies and practices with internationally recognized best practices, and has striven to streamline all the various processes related to Company finances and financial management. Moreover, he has been appointed Head of Human Resource Department, which is an extremely challenging and sensitive position given that the Company has made it a point to empower its employees and promote an ideal professional culture. Mr. Kamran Saleem’s leadership qualities are evident by his expert handling of these diverse core functions which are a testimony to his all-round abilities.
Najmullah Khan - COO

Mr. Najmullah Khan is the Chief Operating Officer as well as Acting Chief Executive Officer for Pak-Qatar General Takaful Ltd. He looks after all the various departments of the Company, as well as heading specific projects that require his personal attention. He has attended many diploma and certificate courses during his service span of more than 26 years. He has served as Member and Vice Chairman of the Fire Committee of Insurance Association of Pakistan for three years. He has worked in senior positions in Atlas Insurance, International General Insurance Company of Pakistan and Habib Insurance Company Limited.
Mr. Muneeb Afzal Lone – Head of Internal Audit

Mr. Muneeb Afzal Lone has conducted and supervised audits of large public and private companies including banks, insurance companies and manufacturing and trading enterprises. He has been associated with Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited since 2008, and has made himself invaluable to the Company since then with respect to business investigation and performance evaluation. He is tasked with ensuring the Company’s compliance to IIA’s standards for professional practices. He has performed many special assignments for the Company, and was a member of the Steering Committee of SAP ERP implementation. To his credit, Mr. Lone allows for initiative and independent judgement amongst his team members, thus encouraging initiative and rigor.
Mr. Shaikh Saifuddin – Head of Administration & IT

By qualification, Mr.Saifuddin is Bachelor of Science in Statistics and holds several certifications in the fields of engineering and information technology. He has been Head of Administration for Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited since January 2007. He holds over 14 years of diversified experience in the areas of Administration and Software Support. Prior to joining the Company, he was associated with various IT Solutions companies, and now looks after effective and efficient completion of all tasks that require discipline and proper working procedures.
Mr. Adnan Hasan – Head of Marketing

As Head of Marketing, Mr. Adnan Hasan is responsible for building and managing the Company’s corporate identity, product branding, and collaboration with the media. He has rich experience in brand activation, and is regarded as the pioneer in introducing 3D exclusive graphics technology and virtual holographic medium in Pakistan, technology which he still owns. Mr. Adnan Hasan, as Head of Marketing at the premier Takaful company in Pakistan, introduced Takaful to the masses by figuring out the clientele's psychological preferences, aesthetic leanings and language barriers. To that end, he has had to draw on his immense experience in brand management and advertising to successfully establish a distinct corporate identity for the Company.
Mr. Adnan Hasan started his career from Manhattan Leo Burnett and thereafter launched his own company by the name of POPSHOP Media and holds an MBA degree. He is a member of Point of Purchase Association International (POPAI) USA and POPASIA (India). He has attended a number of seminars and workshops in Europe on retail marketing and brand building.
Mr. Muhammad Raza - Joint Senior Vice President (Head of Underwriting and Claims)

He is working with Pak-Qatar General Takaful as a Vice President (Claims / Re-Takful). Mr. Raza has 12 years of working experience in State Life Insurance and Habib Insurance. He is equipped with industry recognized certifications like Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Certified Takaful Professional (CTF) and Certificate of Information Technology for Insurance Professionals (CITIP). As an important member of Pak Qatar General Takaful’s main management team, he has been involved in looking after the post-sales services, Re-Takaful arrangements and ensuring timely settlement of claims.
Mohammed Iqbal - Joint Senior Vice President (Operations)

Mr. Muhammad Iqbal is Joint Senior Vice President – Operations for Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited and is based in Islamabad. He has 20+ years of experience in the General Insurance on operations side. He previously was working with Atlas Insurance Limited in the capacity Head of Marketing. Before joining Atlas Insurance Limited, he was associated with Askari General Insurance for 12 years mainly on operations side.
Mr. Iqbal has rich experience in the General Insurance sector particularly in the sales & operations side. Ha has attended and participated in a number of workshops and seminars which have further refine his skills in the area of insurance operations, sales and underwriting.
Mr. Iqbal has double MBA in MIS and Marketing form Preston University.
Dr. Asif Burq – Joint Senior Vice President (Operations)

Dr .Asif Burq is Joint Senior Vice President – Operations for Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited and is based in Karachi. He has over 14+ years of experience in the field of health, medicine and health insurance. Before joining Pak-Qatar, Dr. Burq was General Manager (Operations & Marketing) at Universal Insurance Company. Before joining United Insurance he was associated with Allianz-EFU and Askari General Insurance, working is different high level designations.
Dr. Burq has versatile experience in healthcare, health education & internal medicine. He is skilled in product design, claims handling and underwriting. He has conducted and delivered seminars and working papers in the field of internal medicine. He has worked with Government of Punjab and Ministry of Health and was also a member of Pakistan Medical Association.
Dr. Burq has an MBBS from Punjab University.
Junaid Moti – Joint Senior Vice President (Claims)

Mr. Junaid Moti heads the Claims department at Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited and is based in Karachi. He has over more than 19 years of quality experience in insurance sector particularly the claims side of the business. Has past experience includes companies like PICIC General Insurance, Jubilee General Insurance and EFU General Insurance.
Mr. Moti has versatile experience in General Insurance and covers all aspects of claims including but not limited to motor, marine, fire, accidental, etc. He has conducted training courses on motor claims and has actively participated in workshops and focus group sessions related o his job profile as well as soft skills.
Mr. Moti has a Bachelor’s degree from Karachi University. He is also a Chartered Insurance having completed his ACII certification in 2001.
Mr. Abdul Hannan Shadani, Vice President – Operation

Mr. Abdul Hannan Shadani’s academic credentials include a Masters degree in Commerce (M Com - Insurance) from University of Karachi. He is also pursuing ACII accreditation.
Additionally, he has a number of valuable certifications such as Diploma in Insurance from Pakistan Insurance Institute, Certificate in Insurance from Chartered Insurance Institute London and a Certificate in Takaful - Islamic Insurance Certificate from Center of Islamic Economics, Karachi. Ha has attended and participated in a number of workshops and seminars which have further refinedhis skills in the area of risks mitigation services.
Mr. Abdul Hannan Shadani has diversified and rigorous experience in the insurance and Takaful industry. This rich experience spans leading various departments and holding senior positions in a number of reputed organizations such as EFU General Insurance Ltd, International General Insurance Co. of Pakistan Ltd (IGI) and Pak Kuwait Takaful Co. Ltd. His previous assignment was with Risk Management Services (Pvt) Limited (Insurance Broker and Consultants) where he was responsible for managing operations.
Mr. Ishaq Kothawala, Head of Actuarial Services

Mr. Ishaq Kothawala is a candidate for the Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA). He heads the actuarial services department at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful whose main focus is on the analysis of mortality, the production of probabilistic scenario, and the application of formulae to produce scenarios from which appropriate policies can be derived. Mr. Kothawala ensures the accurate and effective application of actuarial science to Takaful policies issued to clients ensuring risk is correctly assessed, communicated and priced
Mufti Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui – Shariah Complaince Officer

Mufti Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui completed his dissertation in Islamic Jurisprudence with an outstanding record throughout his academic career, winning numerous awards. Well-versed in the sciences of Islamic Jurisprudence, Mufti Shakir focuses on presenting Islamic solutions to problems related to the modern existence, thereby applying his acumen in bringing the modern world abreast with the Shariah. He has been associated with Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited for the past 3 years, and provides Takaful and Risk Management training to the Company’s employees. At the same time, he is the coordinator between the management and Shariah Advisory Board of the Company for all activities in the Company which have a legal bearing with respect to the Shariah, thus ensuring overall Shariah compliance by monitoring/auditing application of Takaful to different situations.
