IT Department Launches Data Centre Facility

In order to facilitate business users spread across the country and corporate sector partners via online portals, especially the banking sector, the Information Technology (IT) department of Pak-Qatar Takaful Group upgraded its existing Server and capacity of Network Rooms to next level. The objectives of this facility are: to provide seamless Information Technology Services through this new Data Centre facility, to provide an architecture which would be accommodating Pak-Qatar Takaful Operations with future growth requirements and upgrade to Tier-2 data center standards.

The important aspect of this project is consolidation of IT operations, so that services could be rendered from one secured and high-availability maintained place. Access control and CCTV is also an important aspect of the entire project. Last but not least it is also unavoidable to have ideal environment for hi-tech electronic machineries in order to raise performance and durability of equipment. Hence this is only possible when precision Air-conditioning units and fire suppression systems are in place.
